Real Choices Forums 2004-2005

In 2004, more than 700 women gathered at Women’s Forum Australia’s first event, titled’ Real Choices for Women.’ Held in Sydney, the forum focused on seeking fresh initiatives to support pregnant women in difficult circumstances. Participants included high-profile speakers from politically multi-partisan backgrounds, as well as advocates, authors and women sharing their experiences of mothering against the odds.

In 2005, Women’s Forum Australia launched Women & Abortion: an evidence-based review in Canberra and Brisbane. Authored by Selena Ewing, Women & Abortion is a comprehensive evaluation of the international literature on abortion, the reasons women have abortions and the impact on their health and well being.
