Get Real! Forums 2007

In 2007, Women’s Forum Australia held a series of forums titled ‘Get Real’, to explore issues about body image, the commodification and objectification of women and the sexualisation of girls in media and popular culture. Speakers included Dr Emma Rush, co-author of Corporate Paedophilia (Australia Institute) about sexualisation of girls; Julie Gale, founder of Kids Free 2B Kids; and Claire Vickery, CEO of The Butterfly Foundation. Events were held in Bunbury, Canberra, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.
